I Do not Feel The Same Winter
clear that each band has its best to rent for periods in the eardrums. Winter for me is to brush up on many albums, go to individuals who remain in the shelter throughout the year by the rays of the sun. They are precious music, often a bit 'sad, which is to meditate a bit', to identify with in some ways, and cover the darkness of the solstice freeing up the view of creating images in the mind, without going through the crystal. In the cold of winter is the essential and the numbness turns to shudder.
in my playlist these days there are Keane, with their new britpop
made of tunes on the piano, as precise and sharp needles of ice. I took out yesterday
Hopes and Fears and I put it on the stereo. Also because the winter is made of full albums. And just chopped nell'iTunes songs that go to the event as you do in the shower and screaming smanacciando Papete mode after an afternoon in the sun. Album meditation, chosen with the preciousness of a gesture worthy of the vinyl, dropped out of the shelf with a soft touch, as we prepare to take the bottle from the cabinet to make a delicious glass of Scotch in the glass. On the rocks
.
smile to see how amazing the coincidences. I remember Keane already used in the blog, then check. It was the lyrics of a song one of my favorites: A bad dream
, posted on January 13, 2008, a year and a day ago. Definitely the cyclical nature of my music is out of step
mood of twenty-four hours.
Bedshaped "is a song that speaks for itself, in line with an excellent album, with a video that leaves fear and hope on the tonsils.
Tim Rice-Oxley ne parla così:
"[...]
Bedshaped
is about feeling that you've been 'left behind' by an old friend or lover. And about hoping that you'll be reunited one day so that you can live out the end of your lives together the way you started them. I guess there's some anger at a friend who wants to move on in search of new, exciting, more sophisticated things, leaving behind the simple things you used to share ... and a hope that they'll eventually want to get away from the bright lights and come back home. It's a sad and angry song, but also full of hope. I hope that makes sense.
I think I'm right in saying that in hospital when someone is ill or infirm and has to spend a lot of time in bed they can become 'bedshaped'. It sounds a bit depressing ... well I guess it is a bit depressing in reality, but in the context of the song I wanted to suggest old age and frailty, along the lines that I mentioned before about two old friends coming back together in the twilight of their lives. It's great that you guys like bedshaped ... it's a song that means a lot to us.
I remember the words for Bedshaped; lying in bed one night and they just suddenly all emerged and I wrote them all down, and then it was finished which was really good - I like it when that happens! The word 'bedshaped' - I don't know if it's a made up word, but my mum's always talking about people being bedshaped, just from spending too much time being bed-ridden basically. It's quite a sad image of someone stuck there, stuck in a bed, until they become completely useless and start to lose their humanity. But just that idea of crumbling and being really frail and decrepid is something that eventually happens to everyone. That, I guess was the basis for the song in a way. So whatever happens when you're younger, even if you go off in search of glamour and ambitious and exciting things; once you get to your really old age, you've got all that side of life that just disappears".
Concludo con una perla del mio saggio fratello (17 anni) che oggi, parlando della sua
ormai perduta "gioventù"
(leggi fanciullezza) mi dice: - era meglio soffrire per le skinned knees for the pain of the heart -.
who is not a bit 'stuck in the bottom of every moment that slipped under him? If only for a mild resistance to change seems lazy. I'm on Keane.
You say you wander your own land
But When I think about it
I do not see how you can
You're aching, you're breaking
And I can see the
pain in your eyes Says everybody's changing
And I do not know why
So little time Try to
Understand that I'm Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And I don't feel the same
You're gone from here
And soon you will disappear
Fading into beautiful light
Cause everybody's changing
And I don't feel right
So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And I don't feel the same
So little time Try to
Understand that I'm Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And I Do not Feel The Same
